PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Columbia New Town was one of the early ‘classic’ new communities developed by James Rouse during the 1970s-80s. Like others of its era, it has reached the end of its initial development and seeking a vision for its next stage of evolution. The Columbia Association and local consultants reached out to Kellenberg Studio due to its extensive experience with MPCs to lead a team to define the next steps for the community in meeting the emerging needs and forces of the 21st century.
