LADERA RANCH

NEW COMMUNITY DESIGN PROJECT

Ladera Ranch

Ladera Ranch is the third new community on the Rancho Mission Viejo in South Orange County, California with Steve Kellenberg as Principle in Charge while at EDAW, Inc. The 4,000 acre project included 8,100 units and several hundred thousand square feet of commercial space.

A point of distinction was a focus on neighborhood design with a goal of creating an inherent premium value derived entirely from site planning and architectural concepts that reduced the sense of mass production and commodity building.   The project exceeded absorption predictions and was awarded several CBIA Grand Awards as well as the much sought ULI Award of Excellence.
